About
Hi, I’m Rishi, the person behind Green Dodo.
My love for gardening and the natural world started when I was a kid. I was always drawn to plants, insects, animals, soil, flowers, food, and the quiet magic of watching life grow. Over the years, that curiosity slowly turned into a deeper passion for edible gardens, permaculture, herbalism, composting, biodiversity, and reconnecting people with nature.
After moving between Mauritius and Australia, I became fascinated by the abundance of gardens, community spaces, fresh produce, native plants, and practical growing knowledge in Australia. That inspiration eventually led me to transform a bare, compacted rental front yard in Melbourne into a productive permaculture garden full of vegetables, flowers, herbs, pollinators, and life. What started as a small experiment became one of the most rewarding projects of my life.
Green Dodo was born from that journey, from the belief that anyone can grow something, even with limited space, poor soil, or no experience. My aim is to help people stop guessing and start growing, with practical, beautiful, organic edible gardens that nourish both people and the planet.
